Thrive is the first organization of its kind created for the entire family and all family structures. Mothers, fathers, legal guardians or family representatives and their youth may become members of Thrive.
Thrive families understand the importance of building community for African American youth and their families to learn, grow, and thrive together. Developing a strong network is essential for both parents and youth.
Families with African American youth (PK-Grade 12) who live in Durham, NC and the surrounding areas may join Thrive through submission of an application, completion of the membership application process, and payment of family membership dues. All family structures are welcome. Membership dues are $55 per family per year. New members are accepted on an ongoing basis.
The membership application process involves submission of an application, background check, and an informal get-to-know with Thrive leadership. This provides an opportunity for new families to get to know Thrive leadership and for leadership to get to know each family's personal "Why" for joining Thrive to ensure the organization meets the needs of each family.
We value education. We believe in family. We invest in our youth and community.
We are Thrive.
